I just got a new pair of earphones, and - wow! - it has radically changed my assessment of this album, to the point where I felt like I needed to write completely new comments. For example, I can now hear backing vocals on Obsolith and overall the harshness of tone that I heard through my old earphones has disappeared. Lesson: make sure your listening gear is up to scratch. Kinda obvious, I guess.
Anyway, I'm happy to discover that this album is actually quite awesome psychedelic space rock. Reuben Sammitch
